She deals with a wide range of equine litigation issues, combining legal expertise with long-standing equestrian knowledge.

Mr. Maaike J.A. Weda is a University of Amsterdam fiscal law graduate. Her studies included a nine-month period in Cologne (Germany) at the Universität zu Köln, where she did courses in International and German Tax Law. Returned from Germany she did supplemental courses in Dutch Law and completed her thesis.




Having studied at the University of Münster, Germany, Mr. Klaus Metzner has specialized himself in German equine law. Mr. Klaus Metzner has been active as Lawyer since 1986 and notary public since 1992. Beyond the law practice, Mr. Klaus Metzner is an enthusiastic horse breeder.


Avery S. Chapman of the Chapman Law Group, PLC and the Equine Law Group, PLC and an attorney since 1991, and also the principal of The Equine Law Group and an equine law practitioner.

Beyond the law practice, Avery coaches interscholastic equine athletes, is Vice-Chair of the Animal Law Committee of the Florida Bar, is a nationally-recognized speaker on Equine Law issues and serves on several committees of a national equine sport organization.  He has recently written two chapters of the Florida Bar’s Business Litigation Manual and publishes articles frequently.’
